The New ESPA-X Data Interface
Monday, 15 June 2009, 16:56

ESPA-X logo smallSince the middle of 2007 we have joined efforts with Siemens Enterprise Communications and other leading manufacturers of call systems, logistics systems, and alarm servers to develop in an open community of interest an alarm server interface that is both up to date and universal, and that represents the logical further advancement to the successful ESPA 4.4.4.

In November 2008, the results of this successful cooperation were presented for the very first time at the MEDICA 40th World Forum for Medicine in Düsseldorf, Germany, where we showcased the Enhanced Signaling Protocol for Alarm Processes – XML-based, ESPA-X for short, an XML-encoded LAN interface with a client-server architecture.

ESPA-X enables effortless connectivity of alarm management-, logistics- and particularly nurse call systems to DAKS via TCP/IP (up to 20 systems in parallel).

ESPA-X allows standardized implementation, guarantees long-term investment security for users, and relieves host systems from the fast changing requirements that are placed on mobile notification and alerting.
