Brief description:

This is a course for service specialists. Among other things the DAKS hardware as well as the configuration and operation of the applications and also troubleshooting are part of the course contents.

After completing this course the participant is able to install and put into operation the DAKS application package for HiPath and to use the DAKS operation and administration PC of the 'Classic Applications' (DAKS-TT).

• DAKS hardware
• Configuration and operation
• Functions and features of the 'Classic Applications':
  • Application 'Broadcasting/Alerting'
  • Application 'Emergency and High-Performance Telephone Conferences'
  • Application 'Call Profiles'
  • Application 'Info Telephone'
• Connection to external systems (e.g. fire alarm and building service management systems, nurse call systems) via serial or LAN-based data interface
• Troubleshooting
• Practical exercises

Objectives:

At the end of the course the participant is able to:
• install and put into operation the DAKS application package for HiPath
• use the DAKS operation and administration PC of the Classic Applications
• instruct customers regarding the use of the server

Prerequisites:

• HiPath 8000 - Basic Course for Service Technicians and/or
• HiPath 4000 - Basic Course for Service Technicians (HIP4BASICS) and/or
• HiPath 3000 - Basic Course HiPath 3000 (HIP3BASICS)
