LAN connection to DAKS — not µDAKS-Alert! (signaling via VoIP/SIP, proprietarily expanded) |
| Placement |
e.g. inside classrooms, and in other selected locations throughout the campus
|
| Feeding |
Power-over-Ethernet |
Monitoring of proper functioning |
yes, via background communication with DAKS (heart beats and malfunction reports) |
| Hardware |
call station with microphone, integrated and optional remote loudspeaker, alarm button behind break glass, optional destination buttons and integrated wide-angle camera
|
Specific performance features
|
- alarm triggering via red alarm button behind break glass
- ad-hoc playback of pre-recorded alarm messages
- full-duplex voice connections (e.g. for emergency conferences)
- telecontrol functions (e.g. 'all lights ON' or 'ring school bell')
- room monitoring via optional integrated wide-angle camera
- instant establishment of voice connections, e.g. to the school secretary's office, via 3 optional destination buttons
|
Basic behavior same as a SIP phone w/ speakerphone control & hands-free speaking
- Download prerecorded voice messages from the DAKS server:
Alarm announcement, alarm initiator (intercom station or person), guidance and instructions, w/ the option to also include the school bell
- Send heartbeats and malfunction reports to the DAKS server
- Alarm activation from the Alarm Call Station to the DAKS server
- Activate prerecorded voice announcements (also several messages, linked together) via DAKS server

Advantage: Instant output of alarm details at many Alarm Call Stations, quasi in parallel, requiring no high bandwidth within the network
- Activate the output relay from within the DAKS server (e.g. for lighting ON)
- Switch on the (optional) built-in camera through the DAKS server (only in an emergency, i.e. no permanent monitoring of teachers/students!)
- Activate the (optional) remote active speakers through the DAKS server
- Tamper Alarm (TA) when the device is opened without authorization
- In combination with destination buttons: call 1, 3 or 4 different targets (programmable) at the push of a button, e.g. a service provider, the school office, paramedics etc.
- Support of redundant DAKS server backup installations
Intelligent alarm call station, including a TCP/IP LAN interface
- Vandal-proof aluminum enclosure (openable only with special tools), with a signaling control switch to detect when the device is opened
- Power-over-Ethernet, i.e. fed through the data line (PoE Class 2, Mode A or B)
- For flush or surface mounting
- Hands-free speaking (speakerphone control) via 3 watt loudspeaker + microphone
- Alarm button behind a plate of break glass (like a fire alarm button)
- Activity LED: 'Device Active', 'Error'
- Output to feed a power relay, e.g. to force all lights on in rooms
- Optionally with a built-in surveillance camera, including an activation LED
- Optionally with 1 integrated destination button, above the red alarm button
- Optionally with 3 more destination buttons, added in an extra panel
- Audio output for a remote powered speaker (in separate casing)
