The new microDAKS (µDAKS) is a hardware optimized alarm- and communications server with scaled-down performance and an extensive functions library, to serve as a platform for most diverse telecommunications tasks.

Hardware features:

• Small box, either for wall-, DIN rail-, rack mount or as tabletop unit (165mm × 105mm × 30mm)
• LAN interface (10/100-Base-T) for data, VoIP/SIP, service and administration
• Serial asynchronous interface (RS232/RS422)
• USB/COM service interface for terminal emulation program
• Power-over-Ethernet from LAN switch or through a PSU (PoE injector)
• Optionally also with TDM/ISDN module, either with:
  1x or 2x S₀ –  1x U_K0 (U_2B1Q or U_3B4Q)  –  1x or 2x S_2M/T1
• Optionally also with 9 contact outputs (floating)
• Optionally also with 16 contact inputs (fed and with open circuit-/lead break detection)
• Optionally also with 2 audio inputs, 2 audio outputs (also for loudspeakers and microphones)
